Please Help 17 Yr Old Receive Safe Abortion! Urgent!

abortion is not murder2

Received this in my email; PLEASE read and help, even if it’s just a share…. I know what it’s like to be close to the end and terrified you’ll have to choose an unsafe alternative…. Please, help…

Over the last few weeks, our volunteer case managers have faced an extraordinarily high call volume, and some very difficult and high-cost cases. We’re contacting you today on behalf of one of those clients, Natasha.* Natasha is a 17-year-old high school student in New York and recently learned she is 27 weeks pregnant, which puts her past the New York State gestational limit to have an abortion. Natasha’s mother Jane,* who supports her three daughters as well as Natasha’s grandmother, reached out to NYAAF to ensure Natasha can obtain the abortion she needs.

Natasha is scheduled for a procedure this week at a clinic in New Mexico where she can safely and legally have an abortion. Natasha and her family have worked hard to raise the funds to cover both travel and medical expenses, but due to the advanced stage of her pregnancy, the procedure will cost $8,500, with the clinic seeking 80% of the cost up front.

While we don’t usually ask for help with individual cases, Natasha’s circumstances are urgent. Only a small number of clinics in the country (and only one of New Mexico’s five abortion clinics) offer services beyond 26 weeks. This means the next few days are vital–we can act quickly to make a difference for Natasha and her family.

Your pledge today of $25, $50, or $100 will help ensure Natasha gets the care she needs, and it will also ensure NYAAF can continue to support the hundreds of other callers who reach out to us for assistance. Your tax-deductible donation can be made online, or by check made out to “New York Abortion Access Fund” sent to our address listed below.

We can’t thank you enough for standing with us to ensure access for Natasha and for all who need it. Please consider sharing this appeal with your friends and family.

Sincerely,

NYAAF Board of Directors
