Why oh why can’t the rest of America be as intelligent and good to women as NYC & all clinics, doctors and staff who put their lives on the line to save us?
This money is for women all across America; NYC is offering help and aid when we need it most. I grow more proud of being from NY daily.
It’s time the rest of the U.S. starts standing up for true the rights of those who are actually alive; not developing potentials.

The city has secured $250,000 to pay for abortion services for low-income women who do not have access to safe and affordable health care, lawmakers said on Friday.
The one-time allocation of funds from the City Council will be given to the New York Abortion Access Fund and was championed by the Women’s Caucus in the chamber, according to Councilwoman Carlina Rivera.
“This initiative not only makes New York the first city in the nation to directly fund abortion services, but also lets any American who is facing increasing abortion restrictions in their home state know that they can come and get the services they need in the Five Boroughs,” Rivera (D-Manhattan) said in a statement.
“This fund is just another signal, another example of how New York State and New York City has to be that leader on this issue. We all are picking up this torch for people who have come before us and we’re not heeding any call to any one person, this is a collective movement.”
The abortion access fund provides payment to clinics on behalf of low-income women who can not pay for the services. Roughly a third of the fund goes to women who come to New York for abortions, according to The New York Times.
